The Landrover mug has been restored using traditional Japanese Kintsugi, a centuries-old craft that repairs broken ceramics using natural urushi lacquer
Rather than hiding the break, the chips or lines are illuminated with a blend of natural pearl powder and gold
Because urushi is a completely natural, plant-based tree sap, your mug remains entirely food-safe, non-toxic, and biocompatible

The Next 30 Days (Maturity Phase)
While your mug is perfectly dry and safe to hold right now, the underlying lacquer is still undergoing a natural hardening process called polymerization

Please do not use the mug for the next month
Store it in a dust-free cupboard or shelf at normal room temperature
If you notice any slight tackiness, a softening of the gold line, or any lingering organic scent when close to the rim, please contact me right away so I can pop it back into the curing chamber to finish setting
Early Warning Sign: During this first month, the gold should remain completely firm


Ongoing Care for A Lifetime Beauty
Once its month of rest is complete, it's time again for a delicious mug of 'arse'!


To protect the delicate gold-pearl finish for decades to come, please follow these simple rules:
Hand Wash Only: Wash gently with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge. Never use abrasive scouring pads
No Microwaves or Dishwashers:
Modern appliances generate extreme heat and steam that will degrade the natural lacquer bond
No Soaking: Do not leave the mug submerged in a sink full of water
After use: Wash and dry it promptly

Natural lacquer requires a full month from the repair date to reach its maximum strength and chemical durability


Please do not use the mug for the next month
Allow the jug to rest unused for the next month
Keep it on a shelf away from direct sunlight, which can interfere with the final hardening process
Early Warning Sign: The repair line should feel smooth and flush with the ceramic. Any micro-flaking of the gold, a dulling of the iridescence, or the rim feeling unusually rough to the touch during this month, let me know so I can give it a quick adjustment before it enters regular use.

As with the Land Rover mug, please follow these simple rules to maintain the repair:

To prevent the lacquer from cracking under extreme temperature fluctuations
If used for acidic dressings: wipe stray drips off the repair promptly
After use: Wash and dry it promptly
